Birds are included in the lists for months in which they were seen, rather than by the defined visiting season. In alphabetic lists, birds are listed using their english names, and by main name, e.g. the Black-headed Gull will be found under G, but not under B. Latin names may be given alongside the english names.

Images of fauna, particularly birds, are often made under less than favourable conditions. As a consequence, some of the images are not of a high quality. They are however generally preferable to no image at all. For a list of birds seen but for which no photograph is available, follow this link.
